Services
Our review covers the registry, units, ownership rights and project documentation. The scope of due diligence reflects the intended use and the buyer's requirements.
Review units, title and suitability for the intended use.
Serial-number-level review of the registry, programme, vintage, status, retirement, transfer, ownership, issuance documentation, double-counting risks and consistency of the data room.
Eligibility for the international aviation CORSIA scheme must be checked for the specific units and their intended compliance period. Verra VCS or Gold Standard certification alone is not sufficient. We examine vintages, methodology, host-country authorisations and double-counting provisions according to the intended use.
Assessment of reputational risks, climate claims, documentation quality, suitability for the intended use and consistency between commercial claims and available evidence.
Source counterparties and document the transaction terms.
Volume sourcing, credit screening, risk comparison and contact with holders. Preparation of a documented shortlist and coordination of discussions under a non-disclosure agreement where required.
RB POWER holds intermediation agreements with international partners for the purchase and sale of carbon credits, including for CORSIA requirements and REDD+ projects. Credits covered by these mandates are certified under Verra’s VCS programme or Gold Standard, depending on the project. Unit availability and eligibility for the intended use are documented for each transaction. We prepare presentation materials, qualify counterparties and support discussions through to the transaction.
Counterparty qualification, non-disclosure agreements, principal commercial terms, conditions precedent, documentation and settlement schedules. Coordination with the relevant parties to prepare commitments and the transfer or retirement of units.
Additional services for institutions and teams.
Country and sector studies covering nationally determined contributions (NDCs), carbon taxation, the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), Article 6 cooperation mechanisms and monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV). Assessment of financing opportunities and preparation of institutional roadmaps.
Training for management, institutions and technical teams: market mechanisms, CORSIA, Article 6, registries, MRV, greenhouse gas accounting and the project cycle.
