Based in Tunis, RB POWER Consulting supports energy projects through technical and economic studies, development and advisory services. Assignments combine in-house engineering and specialist professionals according to project needs.

Over 25 years in energy, from instrumentation and control to commissioning and project development.
Rami Barrani has over 25 years of experience in the energy sector, with assignments in 16 countries. His career includes nine years in Switzerland as a direct employee of ALSTOM, GE and Ansaldo. He served as I&C Lead Engineer, responsible for instrumentation and control, and subsequently as Commissioning Manager.
Working in new-build power plant commissioning, he contributed to around ten projects worldwide, alongside engineering and construction teams and end clients. He also worked with other departments on engineering assignments and test campaigns for new gas turbine technologies, in collaboration with the test centre and R&D teams. This complements his experience with combined-cycle plants, steam turbines, geothermal and biomass.
In photovoltaics, Rami Barrani managed a 60 MWp EPC project. RB POWER has developed solar projects from 1 to 50 MW, carried out opportunity assessments and solar pre-feasibility studies for projects from 1 to 500 MW in Tunisia and abroad, and prepared tender submission packages for solar projects from 5 to 80 MW. Its development and advisory activities also cover carbon credits.
Active in solar development in Tunisia since 2017, he now brings this experience to RB POWER: renewable energy project development, technical and economic studies, financing support and assistance through to operation.

Founder’s track record and RB POWER activities
Solar
Solar development in Tunisia
The founder’s track record includes contributing to the development of three 10 MW projects awarded in Rounds 1, 2 and 4. RB POWER now supports 1 and 2 MWp projects under Round 6 through to commercial operations and the first invoice to STEG.
Power plants
Engineering and commissioning
The founder’s experience includes assignments at conventional and renewable power plants in instrumentation, control systems, testing and commissioning. This experience informs the studies and services offered by RB POWER.
Carbon
Carbon analysis and intermediation
RB POWER holds international intermediation agreements for the purchase and sale of credits certified under Verra VCS or Gold Standard. Units and their eligibility, including for CORSIA use, are assessed for each transaction.
